You know that stinky situation you are in right now that you are trying so hard to get out of? It just might be meant for your growth.
Stop trying to get out of every stinky situation before you learn what you are meant to learn and before it changes you for the better.
Luke 13: 6-9
Then He told this parable. “ A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I have been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’ “’Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year and I’ll dig round it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’” NIV
(And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it. King James Bible Luke 13:8)
We are a tree in God’s vineyard to produce fruit that brings glory to Him in our lives. When God looks at your life and you are not producing fruit, Jesus comes and puts some manure on you and digs around you so that the next time God comes looking for fruit in your life He finds it. When Jesus is digging around you soil will get on you. It might get in your eyes and you might start complaining. When Jesus puts some manure on your roots, it might stink but it is for your own good.
If you are in a stinky situation right now that you cannot wait to get out of, make sure learn from it. Become a better person while in it. Produce fruit and be thankful and give your best in that situation instead of complaining about it all the time.
Maybe you don’t like your job so much and you can’t wait to get a new one. Learn how to give thanks instead of complaining all the time. Do a great job while at it and be grateful for the skills you are becoming great at every day. Learn to love and see the best in the “stinky” people you have to deal with everyday.
Do not let that stinky situation go to waste. Grow!
God bless you!
